Passionate about drawing and painting, I followed a general school artistic course (BAC STI Applied Arts), then studied architecture at the National School of Architecture and Landscape in Lille. Aged 35, I live in Tourcoing, painting and exhibiting for around ten years. I practice my profession as an Architect in the Lille metropolis, and continue my artistic exploration through painting and drawing during my various travels. Committed to an ecological approach that is increasingly essential in our time, my work aims to bear witness to environmental concerns. I participate in sales intended to recover financial funds for various NGOs (fight against poaching in Africa, protection of the Amazon forest).

I work with oil painting on various supports. My job as an architect allows me to experiment with various materials that I then use in painting, gilded panels with silver leaf, red-tinted natural lime coating, gold crackle effect paint, raw wood boards, gilded panels with gold leaf... These materials are used as a canvas background and participate entirely in the spirit of the painting, they also inspire the subject that will be represented there. The parallel between the material, the support and the subject represented gives meaning to each work. For example: on coffee bags imported from Brazil, from which I use jute and the commercial motif, I 039;carries out a series of portraits of Suruu Indians, indigenous to Amazonia, surmounted by primates, Men and Animals threatened by the logging of this forest. On a gold leaf panel, in reference to the mines gold, the leopard, an endangered species in these exploited areas.

My artistic project focuses on the exploration of the animal gaze, its representation in large format, the importance of the support, in an expressive/realistic style, to bring out an emotion. This emotion seems essential, especially when it is put into perspective in the face of current environmental concerns, and questions of safeguarding and protecting wildlife.
