First of all,the actual name is Nadia Bouzika, just a painter now,I used to be a ceramist too,I have a hard time coming up with artwork titles, so I am naming them after the kind of music I was listening at that time, I am self diagnosed with Asperger´s in June 2014 and that explained why my art and myself are both a bit unconventional & controversial ,anyway,it's not that important.I am not good with words not even to write my own bio or a short article. So I will be very brief.I have been painting since I remember myself. I bought my first painting set at the age of 9,I had to use the pocket money I was being given by my parents who, unfortunately, thought of painting as a madness of the age that one day would go away. I have a college degree in a totally different area. Not in Fine Arts. I always thought that studying a certain technique would devastate the spontaneous inspiration.Until 2011 I was running a ceramics -painting studio but then I had to put business on hold.Anyway,I started out as a natural talent. In the beginning I was only painting,in 1991 or 1992 I discovered a tiny workplace somewhere in the Old City where I could learn the art of ceramics with little money and took on it,I wanted to learn iconography too,to me it's still a fascinating, mysterious world, but unfortunately,I was just starting out and cash was short back then to pay for pro classes and the course vacancy had already gone super full. I decided to take the course next year but next year was the year I opened my studio and iconography remained a distant dream.
At first, the customer web was strictly local people, who seem to react quite hesitantly to the form of art that I was presenting to them but soon they overcame that tiny obstacle. Then the Internet came in Beta :) When I first showed up online, the world was still on a dial-up connection and uploading was taking half a day. I got the chance not only to expand worldwide but to meet interesting people as well, one of which was Mario Morasán,whose creations are really amazing and Efrén Acosta Dumas,an excellent Cuban painter to whom I had a huge trouble talking because my Spanish was so broken. That was priceless..
In fact,20 years later,I feel like I am starting all over again.Old habits die hard

This is my second gallery on Artmajeur,so lots of my artwork is still missing from here, either sold or unsold, even my gothic landscapes I was painting for fun in the '80s.I hope that I will be able to add old and new projects,in fact as soon as I find some free time to upload them or sort out some issues with my other gallery. The only problem with this one, where my latest artwork is presented,is that I use metallic colors and/or oxides which don't connect well with cameras. Sorry for that.
I like trying new combinations and experimenting in what I do best and that's painting. Sometimes I use controversial material in order to create the contrast effects. I don't like advertising my artistic presence, pretty much is how I am actually : I just like doing what I do without big bangs around me.I've been honored with a couple of prizes and participation tokens in my 27 years career, but the real honor and the true prize is the audience that is accompanying me for the past twenty years or so.So right now,I am sort of a retiree but happy to be able to still combine colors, textures and forms in my very own way.
