Description: The bird that shows the image is a Laughing Kookaburra. It receives this name given its particular singing, which resembles a person that cannot help laughing. When listening to them for the first time, it is nearly impossible not to be surprised and smile. And their laughter is so contagious that they have brought a smile even to the sculpture of SOR Juana Inés de la Cruz, so I have changed her name and titled the artwork “SOR Risas”, which is a play on words in Spanish (“SOR ": Nun;" Smiles ": smile;" Laughter ": laughter). Significance of the artwork: This artwork shows that we can always find a reason to smile a little regardless of our situation. -Glicée print (12 pigmented inks) using museum quality paper Canson Infinity Baryta Photographique 310 g / m2 (satin) - Also available framed by the author if requested. - Please note that the image size is 66.7x100 cm and the total size is 74x111.8 cm (including white border) ------ Description of the work: The species of bird shown in the photograph is the "Laughing Kookaburra" (“Laughing” in English means laughing), a type of giant kingfisher. It receives this name for its characteristic "song", which resembles a person unable to contain laughter. When they are heard for the first time it is almost impossible not to be surprised and smile. And their laughter is so contagious that they have even brought out a smile on the sculpture of SOR Juana Inés de la Cruz.
