Actuellement l’intention de ce projet n’est pas de montrer une vitrine de la Provence pittoresque mais les changements laissés par de simples traces des richesses séculaires de cette région. Les vergers d’Oliviers étaient abondants, les arbres largement espaces accueillaient entre leurs rangs des vignes et d’autres cultures. Ces structures étaient limitées par des pierres sèches étincelantes sous le soleil. Les variétés des Olives étaient particulières au pays, au climat et suivaient la tradition. Après les grandes gelées de 1956 détruisant des milliers d’Oliviers, les souches restantes originaires de cette terre dans leur spécificité permettent une régénération des plants et une pérennité de leur existence.

Currently the intention of this project is not to show a showcase of the picturesque Provence but changes left by simple traces of the centuries-old riches of this region. The orchards of Olive trees were abundant, the trees ‘s rows widely spaced out invited vines and other crops. These structures were limited by dry stones glittering under the Sun. The varieties of Olives were specific to the land, climate and followed the tradition. After the great frosts of 1956, destroying thousands of olive trees, the remaining stumps depict the vernacular and original landscape. Their presence allows regeneration of plants and sustainability of their existence.
