Another one from my watercolour leopard series. I photographed this shy and elusive creature on our safari in the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia. He was guarding his leftover food, a half-eaten impala in the undergrowth while trying to hide from our camera lenses. This picture portrays well the shy, solitary nature of this majestic animal that's often hard to spot in its habitat, especially in the dry season.
Watercolour on Arches paper. Size: 22 x 15 inches. Year: 2021.
