I am Jonathan Jayasuria and I'm a film director, actor and writer, these elements of filmmaking is often manifested through my art.

The uncontrollable, constant need to craft a cinematic moment or scene in my head whenever I look at everyday life is a blessing for me rather than a curse. Being drawn to cinema & its stunning images gives me great satisfaction and pleasure. It has definitely been a seed that has been planted in me ever since.

As a filmmaker & storyteller, this ‘blessing’ provides me that avenue to express my bizarre and vivid movie scenes that plays in my head. Often times a sense of heightened fantasy overpowers my grounded reality which is always an integral part that I willingly allow myself to fall into every time I create my art.

A story or a cinematic piece of imagery quite effectively stimulates a certain emotion, feeling or sometimes a big questioning to the audience.

The questions that dawn upon me when creating my art, I invite you to let it dawn upon you.
