Shiny steel, and the architectural qualities in this still life are what intrigued me. Loved that reflection of the carrot cake in the bowl. Working with a limited triad pallet of cadmium yellow medium, ultramarine blue, quinacridone red with permalba white, I wanted to put forth a crisp, contemporary realist point of view. Oil on canvas panel, with a wide black frame with silver lip.
