It all started with drawing at the age of 7. I copied pictures of animals. Then I came to painting at the age of 12, drawing inspiration from impressionists such as Monet, Van Gogh and also Cézanne.

Over time my tastes have changed. I was interested in the abstract and the fantastic. Today, I no longer try to find a particular style. I do and have fun playing with the shapes that chance gives me. In fact, there is no chance but rather meetings. I define myself as an opportunist of the meeting.

In 2008, I was selected by the Florence Biennale and I won a few painting competitions, here and there ...

I am drawn to the semi-abstract, the abstract and the realism at the same time. This does not make it easier for me, especially as we live in an increasingly standardized world. So to make a living ... I am looking for and I have not yet found the method to escape this formatting from which we do not always come out unscathed.

I refuse to follow a certain ideology of deconstruction that contemporary art sometimes conveys because I feel it as a pressure to have to adhere to a form of elitism or mercantile spirit that should ride the wave of current fashion.

I want to believe in the continuity of the history of art by remaining honest in my way of conceiving it and not simply painting to satisfy the tastes of the day.

Reactionary? Perhaps. But if you like surprises then you can follow me.
