Elise Gobeil is a contemporary Canadian painter. Gobeil likes the work of analyzing perspective and detail that only shadow and light can make right. Her artistic approach aims to create a personal, unusual universe that represents the feeling of love, social and environmental awareness. In her paintings, the heart sends us back to our emotions, its source of physical strength, the center of wisdom and intelligence. 

Throughout her career, the environment has influenced her work a lot. All these years she spent near the sea in Gaspésie have purified her subjects. Then the rural environment guided her towards a series dedicated to ecology. Now living in the Laurentians, the mountains and the forest tells her another story.
