Giovanna Barozzi - signed with the acronym "GioBA" - was born in Mantua, works and collects her works on permanent exhibition in Sabbioneta (Mn) at the "Villa Liberty Museum-Art Meeting Center" of which he is the curator.
With a humanistic education, after her classical studies she graduated in Literature at the State University of Milan, favoring the historical-artistic-anthropological direction. He obtained post-graduate specializations in Paleography and Sociology aimed at document analysis for a direct knowledge of History and Art and to embrace the ethological perspective of the reality of interactions and social communication.
Since 1968 he began a specific cultural approach to the relationship between man-art-society and territory at the University of Milan.
The unconditional and total passion for SCULPTURE itself dates back to the end of the 80s; in 1995 he met the sculptor Babini in Modena to whom he owed his approach to the "in the round". Since 1997 he has attended master Garaventa's studio in Genoa following a training course on specific techniques curated by prof. Caprile. From February of the same year the collaboration with the Sudio in Pietrasanta began for the creation of large-scale works.
For many years now, he has been carrying out demanding foundry training for the creation of works through lost wax casting
