Gepsy and sculpture

Gérard Champelovier discovered sculpture in 1995 during a stay in Vaucluse. He met the sculptor PADO PEYTOUR who runs a stone cutting workshop in the Lubéron. Gérard is passionate about this art and has perfected it over the years.
After having completed an internship with several professional sculptors including Catherine HURE in Evry and the FOREPAB workshop in La Châtre, he will become leader of a sculpture workshop for 20 years in a holiday center located in Vaucluse. It is the participants who will give him his pseudonym “GEPSY” Ge for Gérard and Psy because Gérard works as a psychotherapist in the Paris region.
Thus each year from May to September GEPSY will initiate around twenty people of different nationalities various, sculpture.
GEPSY retired will leave the Paris region and settle in La Rochelle in 2005. He will participate in the stone days in CRAZANNES and will be accepted by professional artists as one of theirs . He then adopts this THENAC limestone with which he will reveal all his sensitivity.
