“Art for enlightenment’s sake”

About Luke Galutia:
Luke Galutia has been centered in the fine arts since 1989, and has won
awards for his paintings and animated videos. His artwork has been
recognized by the famous Pacific Northwest artist Amy Burnett as being
cutting-edge Op-art. Luke's strong elements of design and color make his
art the perfect vehicle of communication for sacred geometry and
Metaphysics. Luke pulls much of his subject matter from mystical
traditions in Kabbalah, Sefer Yetzirah, and The Zohar, and personal
experiences.

Galutia started painting at age 13 in the medium of acrylic and oil
paint. In 1994 he won first place in the local high school educational
art contest in Yakima county. The painting went on to the statewide
competition, again winning top honors and becoming a part of the
Washington State Art Commission Collection. 'Surrealism of the Souls -
Paradox of a Tragedy' toured the United States, as part of the
Washington state capitols art collection.

1998 to 2003

After mastering watercolor painting and acid etching on glass....
Galutia studied Fine Art, Animation and Video Production at Olympic
College in Bremerton Washington. During this time, he studied under
Laurie George, the post-production director for 'The X-Files' for video
production. Under the tutelage of Joseph Silverthorn who filmed on the
set of American Bandstand for the Rolling Stones, he studied 3d
animation and multimedia. For the fine arts, he studied under Amy
Burnett for art marketing, and was the featured student showing his art
in the Amy Burnett Pacific Northwest Gallery in Bremerton Washington.
Presented at the show was his animated music video, a contestant in the
2001 National Student Academy Awards, to the song 'Supernova' by The
Echoing Green. During his time at the gallery Luke also studied under
the world renown Master Flamenco Guitarist Craig Alden Dell in Classical
and Flamenco Guitar.

2003 to 2004

Luke worked with Josh Hodgins and JH Productions, a local movie company
in Yakima Washington. He helped to design the JH Enterprises logo, which
is used for all their productions to date.

2004 to 2010

Luke moved to Oklahoma City to embrace new opportunities in his life.
During this time he did free lance video production for clients in the
metropolitan area web casting many live events.

2010 - 2014

Luke Galutia has been featured in multiple published books on modern
art. He is currently preparing new artworks to be placed in galleries
and competitions, both locally and abroad.
