Gaïa Du Rivau is a professional photographer artist. His photos taken in black and white are worked, pasted on dented, torn metal plates or on pieces of pallets, of wood transformed into palisades. The advent of digital made him want to go beyond the photo, to add a pictorial dimension combined with the material of the support: metal, wood and other materials.
His approach is a search for materials, shapes, colors to amplify reality. This re-creation becomes another material reality, dreamlike, dreamy, soft and powerful at the same time... an image seen between memories and imagination.
Gaïa Du Rivau was born in 1976 in France, she will obtain a diploma in creativity and artistic expression in Lyon in 2010. Her work is present in many private collections.
