For workshop paintings that bear evidence of master craftsmanship, this attribution must be further qualified. While they may be less valuable for different reasons, reproductions and copies have had a tremendous impact on our experience. They reach a greater audience than originals and act as a tonic against commodification. Original Artwork could also refer to the first work, which is always preceding all others. It could also refer to a prototype or a model from which other works can be made. Each work bears great similarities to the original.

Through impossible landscapes, I try to make visible my imagination imbued with a powerful reality. The requirements of my research follow a laborious, winding path, dotted with joy, melancholy and dreams. I am looking for the writing, the support, the medium that best suits me to escape and translate this taste for travel to somewhere else located between past, present and discovery, shadow and light.
Not wanting to belong to any particular artistic movement, I mix abstraction and figuration. I multiply the techniques: pigments, oils, acrylics, inks, papers, coatings; the subjects overlap and are applied without academicism. My brushes, my knives, my fingers, my hands or more unusual tools come to deposit the color, the gesture comes to give rhythm, to scarify with force or gentleness according to my feelings. The supports diversify, depending on the context, an encounter or a constraint. Little by little, photography, sculpture and the assembly of various materials enrich my production.
Simple things fuel my inspiration, what surrounds me on a daily basis, but also an incessant curiosity about what exists elsewhere. From cave art, to the next contemporary music concert, from a stone picked up during a hike, to the latest information published on the web. I navigate by alternating openness to others and isolation. I capture moments from life and perform in the workshop. Succeed in taking the time to contemplate, feel and materialize my questions. I share stories, my way of looking at the world with the intention of preserving a certain spontaneity and traces of chance.
I'm not inventing anything, I'm just inviting the visitor to open up to difference. Art seems to me to still be a possible link to transmit knowledge, question and question oneself. Will he have the power to face the growing violence in this world? A bet to which I try to bring a few stones...
