For workshop paintings that bear evidence of master craftsmanship, this attribution must be further qualified. Il s'agit de têtes échelle 1, conçues à partir d'une terre locale engobées. Après une première cuisson, un dessin est fait à l'aide d'un crayon émail, puis 2 ou même jusqu’à 5 cuissons sont nécessaires avant satisfaction...
La tête est le support, comme le sont les toiles ou les feuilles de papier.
Le visage est méditatif, surface paisible. Alors ce qui se cache dans la profondeur peut remonter, la peau d’émail, lieu d’échange entre l’intérieur et l’extérieur, laisse à la vue ce qui ne peut être dit. Des dessins, des écritures à peine lisibles, des traits... cela s’exprime, cela s’imprime...

Dans cette expression dessinée, il n’y a la plupart du temps, aucune intention de représenter quelque chose de précis, il laisse faire la main. S’il n’y a pas d’intention, on peut y retrouver l’influence des nourritures artistiques. Les dessins et céramiques de Picasso, l'expressionnisme abstrait, la mythologie, le surréalisme, la céramique contemporaine... et même la phrénologie, les têtes émaillées de ce courant ont discrètement nourri l’artiste.
