Gizella Fejes was born on 28. 09. 1935 in Budapest. She stood out already in the high school with her drawing talent. As a member of the Fine Art Circle István Dési Huber she studied drawing and painting during the 1950-ies in Budapest. Her teachers were A. Endre Fenyő, Endre Domanovszky and Margit Gráber. In the 1950-ies and 1960-ies she executed mainly graphics (portraits), aquarels, oil still-lifes and landscapes. After a long interval her change of style was characterised by taking advantage of the new possibilities provided by acrylic paints, lively use of colours, magnification of the view, putting the values and special feelings to be found in the nature in the focuspoint of her artistic work.
