"never forget yourd dreams" (Korczak)
Farllou is an artistic pseudonym. I am a woman artist and I live and work in Brittany, near the Shipyards of Saint-Nazaire (France), whose muffled and purring sounds rock and punctuate my days.
From the window of the room that serves as my workshop, I look out upon the graceful curves of the lines of the ships under construction, the swarm or workers of all origins at work or walking in the street. This view inspires me and shapes the features on the painting.
The lines of my canvases represent the force of the movement, the comings and goings, the paths we take or those that we should not have taken, but also the architecture of the Cities and the beauty of the curves of the buildings.
The memories intermingle and fade away and give way to an air of music that I hum by, painting a song that will pursue me until the completion of the painting. My imagination will do the rest.
Colors come to me spontaneously but I must hunt others forcing me to constantly renew myself.
At the beginning of the painting I do not intend to take it somewhere or take me somewhere, I am just in the movement of my imagination and I let myself be guided by abstraction.
I timidly started painting with oil and acrylic 25 years ago by alternating portraits, landscapes and compositions. My style has gone through a very long and very complex evolution over the years.
