Born in 1968 in the historic town of Harfeur in Normandy, Éric Vogel has, since a young age, always felt a keen attraction to art. He was first of all the student of Pierre Lambert, ArtSciences and Letters Officer, who introduced him to painting. Later, from 1986 to 1987, in parallel with his training in carpentry, he took evening classes at the Beaux-Arts. In 1989 and 1990, his training in cabinetmaking at the École Supérieure d'ébénisterie d'Avignon resulted in a diploma which allowed him to join the Schmitz workshop in order to restore antique furniture for two years, mainly from the 18th and 19th century. Nineteenth century.
Returning to the École Supérieure d'ébéniste d'Avignon, he followed specialized training in sculpture and gilding on wood and stone, during which he obtained his diploma. During his two years of training and to obtain his diplomas, he created an Art Nouveau-inspired desk as well as a Griffon in gilded wood.
From 2000 to 2010, Art craftsman, Éric Vogel worked as a restorer of works of art in furniture and sculpture in his workshop in Harfleur.
Missing painting, he started painting again in the 2000s.
His style is abstract expressionism with sometimes a mixture of figurative.
His passion for computers led him to create original digital works, sometimes from his own works, using mixed techniques. His inspirations are diverse, like nature with its elements such as water, earth, fire, light, chiaroscuro, are an inexhaustible source.
