Emese Bacs, a contemporary Hungarian artist, shapes her creative process by strategically confronting challenges, erecting obstacles, and pushing against limits in her artistic endeavors. Her journey in the world of art commenced with graphic design studies at Liceul de Arta Brasov (Arts High School) from 1994 to 1996. Later, she pursued her education at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts from 1998 to 2004, under the mentorship of esteemed masters Joseph Gaal and Dora Maurer.

Emese's commitment to expanding her artistic horizons led her to receive an Erasmus scholarship in 2001, facilitating a four-month study at the Accademia di Belle Arti, Brera in Milan, focusing on reproduction artwork and lithography. In 2002, another scholarship, "Ludwig," granted her the opportunity to embark on a study tour through France, Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. She graduated from the painter and audiovisual education department of MKE in 2004, with her educational journey further enriched by a scholarship in Vienna in 2006.

Since 1997, Emese Bacs has called Budapest her home, where she continues to live and work. Her artistic contributions have garnered significant recognition through various awards, including the prestigious MMA Scholarship 2021-2024 and the Szentimrei Judit Art Prize in 2021.

Emese's achievements extend beyond accolades, with her works finding places in prominent collections such as Collegium Hungaricum in Vienna, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Győr, Cifrapalota in Kecskemét, and many more institutions across Hungary and internationally.

Among her notable awards are the first prize for "Giant Snail" at the Valley of the Arts competition in 2019, the main prize for "Invisible Work" in 2015, and the "Barcsay Award" in 2004. Her artistic footprint reaches diverse collections, including private ones in Australia, the USA (California), London, Paris, Vienna, Romania, Hungary, Italy (Torrita di Siena, Milano), attesting to the global resonance of her work. Emese Bacs continues to enrich the contemporary Hungarian art scene with her innovative approach and dedication to overcoming artistic challenges.
