Emanuel Aguiar is a contemporary Portuguese painter. He has developed a highly singular type of painting ranging from Lyrical Abstractionism to Surrealism. Aguiar art is a critique of global society.
Recently he has returned to his passion, carried out restoration work on the ceilings of Quinta da Bacalhoa, works of applying gold leaf on the granite statues and painting the terracotta statues of Quinta dos Loridos.
Emanuel Aguiar was born in 1959, in Portugal, where he graduated from the National Academy of Design School of Fine Arts. His works are in private collections in Spain, Great Britain and Finlandia.
