Drey is a French photographer born in 1972 and based in Elne. With her, one does not find a postcard, a souvenir photo or a bright picture of the holidays. No easy trade or cheap exoticism. His black and white world, sometimes enamelled with a skeletal fish ravaged by the poisonous stains of a nuclearized society, is an original universe. Audrey Vidal, her real name, directs her lens towards the past, towards an abandoned heritage, worn, bruised objects, now despised and not even usable for a garage sale. Each photo has a story and testifies to the history of men. Each one invites dialogue or the writing of a fiction. Indeed, each image of Audrey Vidal is a novel. His photographs praise an old wooden tower, a plane crashed in a forest, a building gnawed by weeds... So many tragedies, catastrophes: it is a question of saving this past , to see it, understand it and redemption is possible thanks to the memory, to the work of awareness operated by this artist.
