Dominique Corti
Dominique Corti, born in Ajaccio in 1963, followed, from an early age, in the footsteps of her great-grandfather, Jean-Baptiste Bassoul, a famous Corsican painter, some of whose works are on permanent display. at the Fesch Museum in Ajaccio, his home town. She began her studies in classical art in the city of Aix en Provence. Thus preparing her entry to the School of Fine Arts in Lyon, from where she will successfully obtain the entrance examination for this great Lyonnaise school, city of the silk factory. Many works will result, such as still lifes, antiques, outdoor landscapes, living models, studies of many classical architectures, in sepia ink and India ink, as well as many reproduction studies. of different fabrics, in this city of Lyon, city of silk. Démarches artistiques
Ma passion pour l’Art a débuté dès mon plus jeune âge. Mes premières années d’étude se traduisent par la technique du dessin. De nombreuses ébauches en noir et blanc telles que: natures- mortes, portraits, modèles vivants, lavis envahissent mon espace personnel. Puis place à l’étude de la couleur, ma passion première! Le subtil travail des tons et de leur juxtaposition, représente à mon esprit, une immense richesse vers l’infini, n’ayant aucune frontière.
Au fil du temps, ma peinture étant devenue plus abstraite de part ma technique en épaisseur, et par la simplification des formes et de la couleur, me projette vers cet Art contemporain, que j’ai apprivoisé.
Mes artistes préférés à mes débuts : impressionnistes Allemands( Kokochka, Soutine,Munch).
