In the impossible and the unthinkable, the painted beings of Didier Meynard wander wildly. Clothed in space, they are made of stains, puddles, wefts, and wakes. Partial, haggard, ghostly and indestructible, they inhabit immensity. They traverse the expanse, and the expanse traverses them. Passing all places, they have no place to exist, except that of high painting. They each correspond to a precarious and metamorphic state, tiny and fragile. They will no doubt be destroyed the moment they appear, because they are without a foundation. Plenitude serves as a foil for those incomplete, when they abandon themselves to the infinity of their lacks. They have lost all their support in prisons, in an atmosphere of chaos, in a vertical sumptuousness. Thus painting, charged with mystery and the unsaid, with meaning and nonsense, with subterranean sensitivity and adventurous signs, is a mirror of existence that is more real and truer than the badly experienced appearance of things.< /p>
