Biography
Alain Despres is a contemporary French sculptor. For a quarter of a century, he has dedicated himself to the intimate realm of sculpture, focusing on the intricate art of direct carving on hard stones. Prior to working on a stone, he meticulously acquaints himself with its history, relying on the insights of geologists whose work is indispensable to the artist.
