Origin of Savoy,
Born on May 12,

I started painting in the 80s after taking lessons in Aix les Bains.
Through trips to Polynesia, Africa, the British West Indies, New York, Puerto Rico, St Barthélémy, Capri, I was inspired by all this diversity of colors, customs, shapes, sharing.

Iles des Saintes, Terre de Haut, Guadeloupe, in 1992,

In the French Antilles, where everything made me want to paint on this magnificent island, the third most beautiful bay in the world after Halong Bay and Rio de Janeiro.
I worked on wooden supports that I exhibited in my shop in Les Saintes, L'Atelier du Savon.

Nice, in 2001,

I continued to paint for fun. I met Sandra Llorca "art history graduate" who taught me.

Ester Negretti, in 2013

Denise in Come

For a week, in July, in Bellagio and Come, on the advice of the talented, "Ester Negretti", I worked on new materials with an original technique. It brought me a lot, for my new creations.

I love immersing myself in books about painting. I am more particularly attracted by the abstract. The imagination fascinates me.
I like to go into a painting without knowing where it leads me. I found my passion, that of creating and painting.
I always have near me, my encyclopedia which relates the essence of the course of the most famous painters.

Some quotes:

Van Gogh
“Making sketches is like planting seeds to grow paintings.”

André Malraux
“It is therefore very interesting to question the artist on what he wanted to do, on the condition of knowing that his answer is not in words, but in his paintings.”

C Brancusi
“What really makes sense in art is joy, you don't need to understand, what you see makes you happy. It's all there.”

F Hundertwasser
“When I paint, I dream. When my dream ended, I no longer remember what I dreamed of. But the painting remains. The painting is the harvest of the dream.”

Paul Cezanne
“I don't think of anything when I paint, I see colors. I enjoy transporting them as I see them on my canvas. They arrange themselves haphazardly as they want, sometimes it makes a picture.”

I wish you a pleasant visit through my artistic expressions.
