Sometimes the weeds are halfway under and above the waterline, creating two different visual realms in the same picture.
This is what motivates me to paint:the thin line between water world and air world.
I chose acrylics for their immediacy.

L’Art est ce qui, personnellement, me rend ce monde habitable.C’est le véhicule physique de l’émotion humaine, c’est ce qui fait que vingt six siècles plus tard on puisse pleurer d’émotion devant une sculpture Grecque archaïque.
Et c’est la seule trace que laisse l’activité humaine à travers le temps.
C’est en définitive ce que les civilisations, pour mortelles qu’elles soient, laissent comme témoignage de leur passage sur terre.
Une seule phrase résume à mes yeux ce qu’est l’Art , et c’est un koan japonais :
« Les pins n’ont de couleur ni ancienne ni moderne ».
I generally do not like to explain a painting or any visual production of mine, not because I cannot express abstract ideas or because I am intellectually deficient, quite the contrary. Simply because images SHOULD NOT NEED WORDS or else they become illustrations of ideas.
