Christian Delavelle creates acrylic paintings, pastels, charcoals and mixtures of skin glue, pigments and linseed oil. He draws his inspiration from novels, poetry and travel memories. His favorite themes are the sea, wildlife, trains and street scenes. His palette is predominantly composed of light tones and flat tints. He places great emphasis on reserves and layering. His painting seeks to suggest (a movement, a moment, a story) rather than describe. For five years, he studied with Solweig von Kleist, Nathalie Tournesac, Olivier Le Bars and Vincent Bébert at the Meudon Art Academy. He exhibits regularly in salons such as the Salon de la Société Versaillaise des Artistes d'Ile-de-France and the Salon des Arts Meudonnais.
