David Graux was born in 1970 in Besançon. Graduated from ENSAAMA (National School of Applied Arts and Crafts) at Olivier de Serres Paris 15th in 1991, he devoted himself exclusively to painting from that year.
Since 1993, David Graux exhibits in numerous galleries throughout France and asserts his pictorial style.
In 2013 and 2014, he was a guest of the Taipei International Contemporary Art Fair (TAIWAN) and presented his paintings there.
It was in 2015 that David Graux took a completely different direction. He completely stops painting, feeling the end of a cycle, to start drawing with a ballpoint pen.
His first subjects represent characters only through the shape of the clothes and their materials (jeans, leather, wool, satin, fur, etc.) in colorful and monochrome ranges. Gradually he adds the tattoo and colors, as well as a story specific to each design, giving the whole a breathtaking realism.
After being exhibited again at the Taipei show in 2015 and 2016, David Graux presents his new creations for the first time in a gallery.
