This piece is inspired from flatlay photography. The idea is to create an illusion of coffee cup and sunflowers on newspaper. With all the unhappy and sad news on the newspaper, I just want to erase them and replace with happy things like flowers and my favourite coffee. [...]

Danielle is a self-taught artist who specialises in acrylic painting. She grows up in a very artistic family who is constantly involved in drawing, painting, crafting and music. She has been drawing/painting and playing the piano since 6 years old. She started painting professionally in 2006. Her vibrant paintings often depict bright colours and textured surfaces using a combination of acrylic paints and mix media as seen in her gallery. She does not want to bucket herself in one style of painting. For her, it is about experimentation through the inspiration from daily life. She aspires to be an artist’s artist instead of one who goes purely for commercial reasons. By this, she strives to improve her painting techniques and learning new ones. She graduated with a Degree in Economics from the National University of Singapore. Her day profession is in e-commerce and digital marketing.
