Maya Ratovondrahona is a multidisciplinary artist who paints out of necessity, to bring out the unspeakable in her. His paintings reflect his difficult and hazardous journey, his introspective nature and his contrasting vision of the world.

His inspirations were first of all turned towards the world of the night, the lights and especially the shadows of the streets of another time, the bars and the people who inhabit them. Dinan then Rennes. Then another page opened, more feminine, more colorful with oriental atmospheres and costumed figures showing the artist's interest in tradition, symbolism and folklore.

These two figurative periods have given way to a new, more abstract era inspired by the remains of human constructions reabsorbed by nature.

Maya was born in Dinan in 1982 to a Malagasy father and a French mother. She has lived near Rennes since 2010. After a short stint at the Beaux Arts in Brest and Rennes which allowed her to familiarize herself with the world of Art and its many facets, Maya continued alone, exhibiting in different places to disseminate his vision. Her style is very varied, as she alternates oil, ink, watercolor and acrylic to paint canvases that are sometimes very realistic and sometimes completely abstract.
