Mi chiamo Stephane CUNY e sono nato ad Algeri, il 14 ottobre 1957. Mio padre muore mentre ho l'eta di sei mesi. Posso camminare in piedi all'eta di sette anni, grazie ad un chirurgo che mi opera le caviglie e realizza un innesto osseo. A quattordici anni imparo il mestiere di sarto per uomo e prendo dei corsi di disegno. Il mio professore è socio degli Artisti indipendenti. A ventidue anni - e per quasi dieci anni - espongo per la prima volta nello stesso salone che il mio professore di disegno. A ventinove anni la mia vita cambia e mi installo a Nantes, Allora dipingo i miei mobili A trentanove anni percorro l'Europa Centrale e sono disperatamente innamorato di questa regione, ricco in arte. A quarantanove anni, trovo i miei pennelli ed i miei colori, mentre realizzo “il miracolo di san silvestre.
