Esmeralda (2010) Sculpture by Cristina Carusi

CRISTINA CARUSI Born in Torano (Carrara) at the age of 2. she moved with her family in Vermont USA, she riturned in Italy and graduated at the Art School of Carrara. Through the work of her father, noted sculptor, since she was very young she deepen’s her vocation, working in the advertising studio of her uncle Paolo Carusi, an interest in window dressing, Sculpture in mixed technique and advertising graphic design. In 1992 she opened with her father Lucio and brother Robert an sculpture atelier, she participates and cooperates in important committees such as reproductions for international artists like Santiago Calatrava and started to participate in exhibitions and competitions. That same year, with her father Lucio and her brother Robert, Participate in major international exhibition, "The stone age and the reasons of the matter" with the execution of a relief of 6 x 3 meters, in the "workshop" the Internazionale Marmi e Macchine Carrara
