I taught for forty years to students between 3 and 9 years old, I have always loved the plastic arts, color, unfortunately I did not have the time to take painting lessons. When retirement arrived, I jumped at the chance, I took watercolor lessons, then acrylic painting, finally oil painting. The latter is my favorite. I realize that, often in my paintings, I use watercolor techniques, especially in the fades. I like to paint using flat areas, I don't like harsh brushstrokes, I think that my plain character comes out in my painting. If you like what I paint I am delighted, it encourages me to persevere.
