Claude Guillemet is an artist and photographer from Breton origin (France). He spent his adolescence in Saint-Malo (France) and always dreamed of going to see what was happening beyond the horizon. Most of his active life has been spent in Africa (notably Sierra Leone, Gambia, Chad, Nigeria). Generous expatriation leave was used to travel to South and North America, Asia, and Europe.

Since his return to France, he has devoted himself to painting and photography. In recent years, he has carried out work on the boat cemeteries of Brittany seen from a very particular angle, work which recently resulted in a series of exhibitions entitled "Couleurs d'Estran" as well as in the edition on account of author of a book presenting a selection of 150 photographs – a second print has since been made.

The quality and interest of his work have just been recognized by the Italian Academy GRECI-MARINO DEL VERBANO of Letters, Sciences and Arts, which awarded him the title of International Academician in the ARTS section.

His work presents a selection of these photos taken in macro as well as a selection of photos taken during his travels, as well as some of his paintings.

Claude Guillemet is a self-taught artist born in 1942. He lives and works in Rennes (France).
