The sources of inspiration are varied and often from travel souvenirs : landscapes, seascapes , still lifes, dating , lifestyle, often female nudes ... all excuses for constant research translating fantasies of eroticism , symbols .
All works are first drawn in pencil fantasy , small size on a piece of paper, from a personal vision or reinterpreting some of my photographic shots , then reproduced knife on the canvas after a " set page "of volumes and lines of force, pencil or chalk.
The colors are sought in swatches " Pantone " or " General " , the development of their associations is carried out on a computer scan of the drawing, using the photoshop software.
The paints used are always in oil, sometimes associated with acrylic and silkscreen inks .
The work of the background using spatulas allows searching of subtleties in the texture of the material to tame and control : We have to stop at the right time gesture spatula seeking chance, or sometimes unexpected accident to to retain a share of opportunism that we must carefully assess .
Then the line contours , accurate , organizer, is reaffirmed by the brush to highlight the shapes and the colors are refined by successive glazes , light , once separated by dry varnish medium , playing transparencies to give depth and create subtle vibrations of colors.
The work, once dry heart is then protected by a varnish anti - UV stabilizing pigments to permanently preserve the colors and also provides mechanical strength of the thick material deposited on the flexible substrate such as paintings cotton, linen or jute.
