Biography
Keyno is a contemporary French painter whose artistic journey began with a deep passion for the history of art. His immersion in museums, galleries, exhibitions, and encounters with fellow artists in their studios served as his informal education, rooted in observation and emotional response. For over fifteen years, Keyno has dedicated himself to painting, actively participating in exhibitions for the past decade. As a member of the Entrevue Collective since its inception in 2017, he has found a supportive community to further explore his creative pursuits.
Keyno's artistic language is distinctly characterized by his commitment to colorist work and abstract composition. Rejecting the representation of real space, he focuses instead on the interplay of shapes and colors to convey a refined visual message through geometric abstraction. His intuitive and thoughtful approach to painting allows for a spatial organization of the canvas that prioritizes surface treatment and the merging of techniques and mediums. Utilizing classic mediums such as oil and acrylic paints, as well as unconventional materials like newspaper, tissue paper, and marble powder, Keyno creates textured and layered works that invite exploration and contemplation.
Inspired by painters such as Mondrian, Poliakoff, Rothko, and Kupka, Keyno infuses his work with nods to their techniques and styles, while also incorporating elements like dripping borrowed from Pollock. However, he adapts and transforms these influences into his own unique artistic language, resulting in paintings that offer colorful and optimistic associations of improbable sensibilities. Through his geometric abstractions, Keyno invites viewers to embark on a journey of imagination and uncertainty, challenging preconceptions and prompting introspection.
Keyno's objective is to navigate the vast world of fine arts without constraints, finding joy in the act of painting itself and sparking curiosity and discovery in both himself and his audience. Beyond the apparent rigor of his work lies a poetic and emotive depth that enriches the viewer's experience, inviting them to explore the limitless possibilities of geometric abstraction.

Effectivement j'ai parfois l'impression dans votre galerie de voir de nouvelles oeuvres de Poliakoff mais c'est trés bien fait et plutôt une continuité qu'une copie..

Composition presque géométrique d'une grande beauté. Je viens de voir tout votre galerie et je suis ravi de votre travail. Vous êtes vraiment un grand coloriste, mais surtout un grand Artiste. Ce travail (BOREAL diptyque 2) est superbe. Félicitations Keyno.
Difficile de ne pas reconnaître Mondrian sur la partie haute. Il y a plusieurs lecture derrière le nom du tableau... A chacun d'y coller ce qu'il souhaite.
Connivence entre vous et Mondrian …..! et plus peut être !
