Sharbat Gula, appelée « l'Afghane aux yeux verts ». Durant la Guerre d'Afghanistan a été forcée de quitter le pays et c'est dans un camp de réfugiés au Pakistan que le journaliste Steve McCurry l'a photographiée en 1984. Cette photo a fait la couverture du magazine National Geographic en juin 1985.
