Bien que je n’aie jamais été au cœur d’une de ces épidémies, j’ai parlé à des personnes qui ont vécu une telle situation, certaines étaient des victimes innocentes qui se sont retrouvées au mauvais endroit au mauvais moment et beaucoup contre leur choix. D'autres étaient des combattants qui étaient là pour une raison quelconque parce qu'ils y croyaient. Après toutes ces rencontres, je ne pouvais que me demander «quels sont les avantages de la guerre? Peut-il y avoir un avantage réel qui pourrait compenser les souffrances des innocents? "

Richard Raveen Chester is a multifaceted artist. He developed a new form of printing using a digital technique and superimposing layers on heavy art paper. He specializes in contemporary simultaneous and continuous color printing. The artist reworks the print after the marouflage transfer onto heavy art paper to achieve the artistic effect.
His work is mainly inspired by his walks in the countryside and the sensations or feelings he experiences while doing them, and which he tries to share with the spectators of his works.
Richard Raveen Chester was born in 1954 in India. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication from Delhi University School of Art in 1976. He currently lives and works in Angers (France).
