Self-taught artist, Karol Reber discovered the passion for drawing and painting at a very young age and therefore began to cultivate this desire. He started drawing in pencil. This period helped him to ensure his line and the sketch of his paintings. In 1998, color appeared. This step allowed him to study the color palette, adapt it to his paintings, grasp the rules of complementarity and contrasts.
In 2000, he discovered oil painting and its marvels. This technique has become his easiest means of expression.
Figurative painting has this merit, compared to what is called abstract, that it does not allow the artist to "cheat", to conceal deficiencies under flashy varnishes where, a once these have been scraped off, once the superficial and the powder in the eyes have been denounced, only ease remains, all that abstract art, when it is not sincere expression or simply formal beauty, has lightness, banal and impersonal. Karol Reber is resolutely figurative, even if he tried his hand at abstract art, out of his sole taste for research.

Figurative painting has the merit, in comparison with so-called abstract painting, that it does not allow the artist to "cheat", to conceal deficiencies under flashy varnishes where, once these have been scraped off, once the superficial and the part of the powder keg denounced, only the ease remains, everything that abstract art, when it is not sincere expression or simply formal beauty, has of lightness, banal and impersonal. Karol Reber is resolutely figurative, even if he has tried his hand at abstract art, for the sake of research alone.
