"The wall was empty"
Presentation of the mural via Luchino dal Verme Andrea Cardia
The mural via Luchino dal Verme was born as a challenge: to create autonomously work rooted in the district, which summarizes the history of our country since the 60s and that is also the story of citizens who daily live the same neighborhood . The thematic choice is therefore important, because each of us feels part and recognizes the work done.
This intervention is unhooked from the logic of the tunnels that use the walls as an extension of their business, so as new windows, creating works dissonant with the territory. L 'importance of beautifying the places where you live, involve the citizens from the youngest to the oldest, remains a goal that has more sense in a context of deterioration and dirt. In fact, to this end, I deliberately leave space to young artists or anyone who wants to express their thoughts, because this project is the result of joint work. And when you reach a goal together, the work itself is lived with less tax in the social context of the neighborhood where she was born.
I always thought that investing resources and work in a community context is always a key message for both my professional growth and for the people who believe in what I do, letting the historical link cultural and creative remains the only possible way.
The goal, which involves the collaboration of the cultural project AMARTE, is to complete the work by continuing to paint the wall via Muzio Attendolo of about 420 square meters, involving painters and artists from all over Italy, who will compete with new media and out of the studio. Those who adhere to the realization of the remaining work will then be engaged from May to September. The start-up initiative will take place on 19 April date on which you want to inaugurate and present the work done with an event that allows the majority of citizens to work and to become active part. To brighten your day, will attend the event street artists and musicians to ensure that even children can have fun and can pass the message that you can get out of the degradation through culture and that each of us can make a small step to revive and improve their neighborhoods.
