Russian artist Uriy Bykov is constantly in search of ways to express himself creatively. He strives to convey the diverse and ever-changing beauty of nature through his luscious landscape paintings. Deftly wielding a masterful eye for color and harmony, Bykov crafts works that capture and hold for the viewer the ephemeral charm of nature as it is usually only beheld in a momentary glance; just as a cloud in the sky slowly drifts from view or the colors of autumn leaves fade with memory. Through his impressionistic approach, he is able to work with even the most infinitesimal plays of light that dance through a scene, and therefore translates not only an image of nature but also the feeling of serenity contained therein.

Bykov studied painting at the Moscow University of Arts and works in both acrylic and oil. His works have been exhibited publicly in both New York City and St. Petersburg, and they are contained in numerous private collections around the world, including but not limited to France, Germany, The United States, Israel, Holland, and the Czech Republic.
