Alexandar Sasa Bonacic was born in 1965, Zadar, Croatia, where he still lives. Always a keen amateur photographer, he took more serious interest in his art in 2000, and his passion grew.

Alexandar held several critically acclaimed exhibitions -
'aquarelle & shadows', presented across the rows of shop windows in Borelli Street, Zadar, 'Ox In The Fog' at Arsenal, Zadar's premier exhibitions gallery,
'1/3', held at the site of a disused fish factory in Sali, Zadar archipelago,
'Wild Sheets', CroArtPhoto Gallery, Zagreb,
'The Return', a highly original one-off evening show where the entire flood-lit display floated in the sea, along the bridge in Zadar's harbour,
'Quadrants', CroArtPhoto Gallery, Zagreb,
He also displayed his work at various group exhibitions –
'Island & The Sea',
'CroArtPhoto Annual Show', Zagreb
'The Fragments', the standout exhibition in Zadar's Petar Zoranic Square where the work was displayed 'underground', along the newly discovered archeological findings,
'Zadar Motifs', an edgy and eye-catching giant prints exhibition covering a section of Zadar's medieval fortification walls facing the harbour,
Alexandar's work was also seen at 'Digital Master Circuit Exhibition', Wien, 'International Malmo Photo Show', as well as the shows in Vinkovci and Osijek, Croatia, and many others.

At 'Island And The Sea' traditional exhibition in Zadar, he was awarded 'The Black & White Photography Diploma' and is also a founding member of '5.exe', a small and dedicated group of photographers who stage independent exhibitions and one-off shows.
