Barry Farley, who currently lives in beautiful Bryant, Arkansas, is a 41-year-old Christian, USAF Veteran, Artist, ALS Advocate, Author, and Graphic Designer. Reluctantly, after living with an unidentified neurological disease for two years, and then enduring a year of rigorous testing, he was diagnosed with ALS in November 2016. Barry was quoted as saying, “Although life has drastically changed, I am thankful for each day God allows me to awaken, which graciously provides me additional opportunities to live, laugh, love, learn, and create.” Even now, as ALS has severely crippled the use of his extremities, he still pushes forward with life, his art, and learning all the Bible has to teach.

With the aid of a tobiidynavox Eye Gaze Computer System, Barry has continued to create beautiful works of art that are known the world over. By embracing this empowering machine, he has managed to develop new techniques of creating art by utilizing familiar design software and using only his eyes. He continued by saying, “By God's grace, I have been blessed with many positive outcomes in a plethora of creative fields, throughout my life." In short, Barry doesn’t allow his physical limitations to hinder his faith in Jesus, God's will for him to carry forward, and his hunger for creativity.

Even after reaching a global scale with his work, Barry continues his education in the Bible, arts, and media design. He had this to say on the matter, “Although there are days in which I wish to give up, I am reminded of my mission and there are many individuals I can help along my path!” In the end, through God's Grace, Barry Farley continues with what he loves; sharing his passion for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, fellowship, and reaching people through the joys of art. Below is Barry's favorite verse from the Bible, which is what he looks forward to when Jesus takes him home.

Isaiah 40:31
"But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint".
