Original big painting by Hungarian artist Zsombor Barakonyi.
Story about painting:
“Despite raining, the streets of the city are full of people. Sea of umbrellas protects them from the cold drops of autumn rain. They move in all directions, some are looking for underground shelter at a subway station, some are waiting for a taxi. As in other days, do not hear the endless screams of people, do not hear the shouting of street vendors, hotdogs or hamburgers. Who could, hid from the rain inside. Even though the streets live their daily lives, only today's rainy day is a bit quieter and nostalgic. But at least people are silent and more mindful in their minds, their affairs.
Every day, even the rainy one, has its own special charm.”

Zsombor Barakonyi is a contemporary Hungarian painter. His unique visual language offers viewers new levels of perceiving reality, in which, by overwriting conventional approaches, he builds a dialectic relationship between content and objectuality.

Barakonyi‘s works are postmodern panel paintings depicting visions of metropolitan flâneur. The depicted scene is always a snapshot, capturing a moment in the urban hubbub and commotion, which reveals itself through a model of perception whose anchoring points have been shifted into a new balance.

Zsombor Barakonyi was born in 1972, in Budapest, Hungary. After graduating from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts and also earning a Doctor of Liberal Arts degree there, Barakonyi went on to win numerous awards and prizes.
