Biography

On February 9, 1968, Kouassi Quenum Alaba, alias Ziki, painter and sculptor from Benin, was born in Togo.
As a child, he made “sand paintings”. On plywood, he materializes scenes of daily life with sifted and well-washed beach sand, the grains of which he carefully sticks on the traces of the drawings, or on the delimited spaces
beforehand. He develops his drawing after a two-month internship at the Secondary School of Arts and Culture (ESMAC), in Benin. Ziki participates in collective exhibitions, between 2007 to 2015, at an international fair, in Ghana, in 2004, in
Salon International des Arts de Ouagadougou (SIAO), in 2006, and at the Salon National des Arts du Benin (SNAB), in 2010. In 2013, he won the ''Benin GoldenAwards'' (BGA). The comic strip coupled with the cartoon, is his new center of interest
