Juancarlos Rlora
Full time painter 24/7 animal foster dad. Please come by and support, your contribution helps us keep bellies full and tails wagging! Back In my school days in NY, before becoming a full time painter, I went to school for Pre-Med, then changed to Biology, then Zoology and then settled to study and learn the Veterinary Field. Since then, I have privately cared for, rehabbed and re-homed 30+ critters, including dogs, cats, squirrels, raccoons, turtles, rabbits, etc. (Pretty much any animal that crosses my path and is in need of aid.) All this is ALWAYS funded privately through my art sales! My dream/goal is to at some point have enough land where I can build a sanctuary and have 100s of critters running around safely and happily! So invest in this dream and thank you in advance for buying my PAINTINGS!!

My Bio & Mission
Hello, my name is JuanCarlos, I paint and care for animals in need. Art to save Lives is my motto. My painting career began with the solo exhibit of my silhouettes at The Theater of Beaux Arts in the city of Santo Domingo at the age of 15. Being so young and pursuing this alone I began to fear the velocity with which things were moving, so I abandoned the exhibit with the 16 of 30 paintings I was to turn in. It shocked me, so I stopped pursuing the exhibit circuit, but I didn’t stop painting, and therefore the paintings never stopped selling privately. Then, at the age of 27, I decided to give it another go, with a different approach and since then, haven’t slowed down. Originally from NY, raised between Santo Domingo and now residing in Florida. Taught under Dominican Painter Candido Bido since the age of 3 and mentored by Turkish/Dominican Painter Aquiles Azar, in my adolescence.
I have always been passionate about animals. In NY I went to school for Pre-Med, then changed to Biology, then Zoology and then settled in the Veterinary Field. That's where I met my now manager, Luba, with whom we have created ArtToSaveLives, an animal rescue mission funded mostly by the sales of my art. Our goal is to have enough land where we can build a sanctuary and have 100s of critters running around safely and happily, together with a gallery/museum setting on-site!
So invest in this dream and help us save lives!
When you buy my paintings, your contribution helps keep bellies full and tails wagging and brings us a step closer to realizing our dream – awesome animal sanctuary funded by art!
Much love,
JuanCarlos
