Valeriano Lessio is a contemporary Italian painter. In his early artistic endeavors, Lessio found himself drawn to the figurative, almost hyper-realistic, style of painting. This initial fascination with realism served as the foundation for his artistic journey. However, it was in the realm of non-figurative art that Lessio discovered a hidden reservoir of creativity within himself. This transformation in his artistic approach was catalyzed by a pivotal encounter with an artist from Berlin, whose clear expressionist influence left an indelible mark on Lessio's work.

From 1990 onwards, Lessio embarked on an unceasing quest for artistic innovation, constantly exploring new techniques, diverse subjects of various origins, a vibrant palette of colors, and a wide range of materials. This relentless experimentation became the hallmark of his career, distinguishing him as an artist who fearlessly pushed the boundaries of his craft.

One of the driving forces behind Lessio's artistic journey has been his insatiable curiosity about the masters who came before him. He immersed himself in the study of art history, using it as a compass to navigate his creative voyage. This scholarly approach led to what could be described as a "constructive eclecticism." Lessio ingeniously pieced together fragments of art history, creating unprecedented structures that resonated with his own subjective artistic sensibility.

Lessio's artistic journey reached a turning point in 1992 when he began to showcase his original works to the world. Since then, he has never looked back, steadily exhibiting his creations in prestigious events across Italy and Europe. Cities like Milan, Venice, Rome, Bologna, and the Adriatic coast have all been graced by his exhibitions. In his native Veneto, Lessio made a conscious effort to establish his presence, earning a reputation for his meticulous and discerning approach to his craft.

Beyond Italy's borders, Lessio's art has ventured into the international art scene. He has been invited to showcase his work all over the Europe, including Monaco, Barcelona, the Dalì museum in Berlin, and the Brugge museum in Belgium and Canada. His contributions to the art world have not gone unnoticed, as he has received awards and recognitions that further validate his talent and dedication. Lessio's participation in art fairs has also solidified his status as a respected contemporary artist. To underline his significance in the art world, it's worth noting the numerous and notable references in the art world. Among these is the inclusion of his work in the Catalog of Modern Art published by Editorial Giorgio Mondadori, a testament to the lasting impact of his artistic contributions.
