09 (2018) Painting by Carolina Correa

Born in 1983 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Carolina Correa studied Fashion Design at the University Of Buenos Aires and organized many exhibitions in the cultural centres of her city. In 2016 she moved to Florence and since then she has participated in various exhibitions at Art Galleries and Festivals in and around Florence. There, she started studying painting at the Art Academy of Florence, where she discovered the palette knife oil painting on canvas. Since then, this technique has become her personal style and is used in almost every painting. At the moment, she paints at her atelier to vent her artistic passion in ongoing personal research and to meet the requests for commissioned pieces. There she also teaches the technique of palette knife oil painting. 

Throughout 2020, her paintings are part of the Cocktail book entitled "Animal Kingdom" of the Atrium Bar of the Four Seasons Hotel Florence. The Cocktail Book offers 15 unpublished cocktails inspired by endangered animals, each represented by an original work of her. The proceeds from the sales of the paintings will go to the Acquario di Genova Foundation.
