About the Gallery
Welcome to Baker street Workshop,
We are an architecture & Interior Design Office & Russian Art Gallery.
We are located in a historic Building in the old Part of Jaffa in Israel close to the flea market.
Origenally the storeroom residence the site was built in 1850.
We present more than 30 artists which were born in the former soviet Union and currentally live and work in Israel. Our collection includes some of the finest artists in the fields of painting sculpture and glass work.
Our team of architects had produces numerious custom residenscial projects around Israel at cities like Savion, Jerusalem – Motsa , also museums, synagogs and we work as well in big cities around Europe , the states and Russia.

Josef Kapelyan
Joseph Kapelyan was born in 1936 in Belorussia. In 1956 graduated from the Leningrad Art College, Russia. Later in 1960 he enter to the Minsk Art Academy, Belorussia. In 1980 immigrated to Israel. 1981-2002 Joseph worked at the Tel Aviv University.
1987-2005 Inhabitant of artists’ village Sa-Nur
1960-2008 30 personal exhibitions and participation in 154 group exhibitions in different countries of the world.
From 2003 Joseph is the President of Israeli Professional Artists’ Association.
