Nació el 4 de septiembre de 1982 en la ciudad de México.

Asistió a la Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas (UNAM), posteriormente cursó sus estudios en el taller del artista expresionista Gilberto Aceves Navarro y en la Universidad Iberoamericana.

Sus obras forman parte de distintas colecciones: Ricardo B. Salinas Pliego, ESPAC (Espacio de Arte Contemporáneo ), Instituto Cultural Domecq, A.C. y Fundación Cultural Trabajadores de Pascual y del Arte, A.C.

El noticiero Hechos le realizó un reportaje en el año 2000 y Telefórmula en el 2006. Ha tenido diversas publicaciones: revista Saber Ver, núm. 28, segunda Época, febrero /marzo de 2004, revista Cambio, núm. 293, diciembre de 2007, revista Fondazione Volterra, Ottobre – 2008/ Año 4, No. 4, Archivo Gráfico: Demián Flores y La Curtiduría, 12ª Bienal de La Habana, por La Cebada, 2015, Rivista d´arte e di cultura, “Qualche notizia dei Tangassi a Volterra”, editrice accademia dei Sepolti-Volterra, 2018. “Carolina tangassi, artista versátil y vigorosa”, por José Real, Interés general, Estilo D.F., 2020.
